The word Malaika is the plural of which مالک means 'Angel'. Angels are the creature of Allah made from light(noor). Only Allah knows that how may angels are there in His universe. It is important to have faith in Allah, the Prophets, divine books, the Last Day and destiny. In the same way, it is also important to have faith in angels. Angels obey every command of Allah Almighty. Allah says:
لا يَعْصُونَ اللهَ مَا أَمَرَهُمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ )
Translation:
"Who do not disobey Allah in what He orders them, and do whatever they are ordered to do." (Surah Al-Tahrim: 6) Believing in angels has a profound effect on human life. Believing in angels, man believes that the angels are maintaining records of all his actions and one day he will be held accountable for these actions before Allah Almighty, so the person starts doing good deeds. In the same way; believing in angels creates a sense of self-respect in a person, because Allah made the angels prostrate to Adam.
According to the Holy Quran, the angels bring help from Allah. So, by believing in angels, a man never becomes hopeless because he has a firm faith that whenever he will face any difficulty, the angels will come to him with Allah's help.
i. Belief in Divine Books
Belief in the divine books is the basic belief. The heavenly books refer to the books that Allah Almighty had bestowed upon His Prophets in order to guide the mankind. These books are a source of guidance from Allah. Allah Almighty has commanded to believe in books.
Allah Almighty revealed the heavenly scriptures and books to many Prophets (S) of which four are the most famous:
All of them share the basic teachings such as monotheism, prophethood, belief in the Hereafter and rewards and punishments for deeds, etc. However, the laws of Sharia are different in each book.
The Holy Quran abrogates all the commands of the earlier books. Now it is not necessary to follow the teachings of these books, but only for the Holy Quran, it is mandatory and necessary to follow the rules and regulations.
ii. Faith in the hereafter
Having belief in the Hereafter means that after this worldly life, there will be another life after death and that will never end. Allah will take into account the deeds of all human beings on the Day of Judgment. The righteous will be sent to heaven and those with bad deeds will find their place in hell. It is repeated several times in the Holy Quran to have faith in the Hereafter.
The belief in Hereafter teaches a man that this world is temporary and it will come to an end one day. On this day, it will happen that the whole universe will be destroyed, so the actions that a person will do in this world, the full reward of these actions will be given to the person in the hereafter.
Belief in the Hereafter plays an important role in life. The deeper and stronger the belief in the Hereafter, the better a person's character and morals will be, because he will believe that he has to account for his actions.
A person who has faith in the hereafter becomes responsible and pays his dues. He develops qualities like selflessness and sacrifice and his morals and character are corrected.
